Questions
Do I need an account?
Not to try it: open the app, choose “Try without an account”, enter a public Bitcoin address and mine by hand on the live block, or run 15-second automatic demos. Nothing is saved for a guest. The 1-minute boosts, Premium, verified mining time, achievements, the leaderboard and the history need a free account: Google or an email address is enough.
Will I earn bitcoin?
Almost certainly not. A browser computes a few million hashes per second; the whole network computes more than a hundred trillion times more. The mining is real, but finding a block is an extremely rare event. No gain is promised, and Premium does not change the odds.
Why does my computer have to stay on?
The computation runs in your browser tab, on your own device. When the tab closes or the computer goes to sleep, mining stops. Mini Miner has no machines mining on your behalf.
Where does the reward go?
Into the block itself: 98% to your address and 2% to the pool, written into the coinbase transaction, which your browser checks before you mine. Mini Miner never holds funds or keys.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days of purchase, withdraw from your profile (Premium and purchases). You are refunded in full to your payment method, Premium is removed from your account, and you receive a confirmation email. The withdrawal can be used once per account; Premium offered with a promotion code has nothing to refund.
When should I mine?
Whenever your computer is on anyway: while you work, study or watch a series, leave the Mini Miner tab open and it keeps mining in the background. Browsers may slow a background tab a little; keep the computer awake, as mining stops when it goes to sleep.
